What you'll do
Perform abuse tests on battery modules and packs, including thermal,: electrical, and mechanical stress testing.
Disassemble and tear down battery packs to analyze internal components,: failure modes, and degradation patterns.
Follow detailed test setup instructions to ensure accurate and repeatable testing.
Install sensors, instrumentation, and harnessing on battery packs and test fixtures.
Document test results with clear, detailed notes, photos, and reports.
Work closely with engineers and safety teams to execute testing protocols safely and effectively.
What they're looking for
- Maintain a clean and organized test lab, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Assist in data collection and analysis to support battery performance and safety evaluations.
- Follow strict high-voltage safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety during all test procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and improve testing processes.
