The opportunity

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring an Intern to join our Actuarial team.

What you'll do

  • Produce a predetermined project or projects to support one of Oscar's: actuarial teams. Projects may include building automation tools, projection models, dashboards, or experience studies. Project details will be discussed as part of the interview process and assigned according to interest and skillset.

  • Gain exposure to actuarial concepts, tools, and industry practices.

  • Participate in actuarial and cross-functional meetings to build relationships: and rapport with internal stakeholders.

  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and communicate findings to both actuarial and non-actuarial audiences.

  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Other duties as assigned

What they're looking for

  • + years of college towards a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field;
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel/SQL/Python
  • Active College Students Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
