The opportunity

Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.

What you'll do

  • Perform safe, controlled disassembly of EV and energy storage battery packs: down to module and component level, following detailed work instructions and safety standards

  • Execute high-voltage isolation, verification, and handling procedures,: including strict adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements

  • Sort, classify, and route battery components for reuse, recycling, or: disposal in compliance with environmental and production guidelines

  • Operate within a high-throughput production environment, meeting performance: targets while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and workflow continuity

  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment to: support disassembly, inspection, and basic troubleshooting tasks

  • Safely handle, transport, and lift large-format battery systems using: forklifts, cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment in accordance with safety protocols

What they're looking for

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support continuous improvement, maintain a: safe and organized workspace, and ensure compliance with quality and EHS standards
  • Operate a variety of material handling equipment and mechanical lifts (training provided).
  • Must meet all requirements for use of a full-face respirator, including: medical clearance and fit testing, in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of mechanical fastening systems, electrical: connections, and component-level disassembly techniques.
