What you'll do
Perform precision inspection (CMM or surface plate) verification on: mechanical parts, components, assemblies and materials. May include, but is not limited to first article parts, in-process and final inspection on assemblies, and materials for workmanship and conformance to specifications/drawings.
Understand GD&T requirements as applied to the engineering drawing and drawing notes.
Spot interpretation issues as applied to dimensions written or evaluation to requirements
Select and utilize standard gauges to ensure quality. Inspect feature: tolerances by selecting the tool with the required accuracy
Candidate will be responsible for working in a cross-functional environment: utilizing CMM programming software in conjunction with bridge-style machines up to possible 5axis head motion.
Create, maintain, verify, retain, sort and organize all programs created to: ensure they are readily available and saved to the current revision (in close coordination with Quality Assurance supervision)

- Work with cross functional teams to continuously improve the processes and: specifications that govern precision inspection within the work center and beyond
- Assist engineering with making part inspection plans
- Identify engineering, design, GD&T issues and errors creating ambiguity in: the manufacturing and inspection process.
- Make or offer suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturability
