What you'll do
Resolve operational, infrastructure or hardware incidents in multiple data centers.
Manage complete lifecycle for data center hardware, including deployment, operation, and decommission.
Physically rack and cable data center equipment.
Track and logically organize the physical storage of incoming data center equipment.
Perform quality assurance testing and resolve recurring issues.
Schedule and track hardware maintenance tasks.
What they're looking for
- Update port maps and rack layouts and create operational procedures.
- Monitor the environmental conditions and power/cooling systems of a data: center to ensure they are optimum for servers, switches, storage arrays, and other devices.
- Run hardware diagnostics and replace failing parts in a timely manner.
- Upgrade internal system components, including CPUs, memory, and storage.
