What you'll do
Architect and implement robust diagnostics infrastructure, tooling and: processes to improve the efficiency of troubleshooting self-driving and base vehicle systems
Collaborate with subject matter experts on sensing, compute, actuator, and: support systems, guiding and supporting them through diagnostics design and improvement
Lead analysis of sub-system diagnostics gaps and needs, informing future diagnostics investment
Evolve Waymo’s Diagnostics strategy through technical and organizational leadership
A Bachelors or Masters in EE/ME/CE/CSE or related field
+ years experience working adjacent to or developing diagnostics in: automotive, aerospace, or consumer electronics
What they're looking for
- Hands-on experience working directly with deployed systems (HW and SW),: ideally in a fast-paced automotive or tech environment
- Wide breadth of knowledge in the EE/CE/CS/Mech realm, and can spin up on a new topic very quickly
- Working knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (C++, Python, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience driving diagnostics development for a module, system, or program
