What you'll do
Installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as: exterior lighting / circuits, generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment;: working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
Using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
Will be responsible for working with vendors to procure quotes for: replacement parts and equipment, will also be responsible for the proper documentation of work performed and materials used.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
In general, the work of the maintenance electrician requires rounded training: and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
What they're looking for
- Must have a minimum of six (6) years journey-level experience and have: completed a formal apprenticeship or equivalent formal vocational/technical training program on industrial electrical systems. Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
- Must maintain required city/county/state license(s) and/or certification(s), where applicable.
- Must be able to operate and work from various lifts and bucket trucks.
- Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
