What you'll do

  • Laboratory Operations: Lead Field Quality laboratory operations and set investigation priorities, staffing plans, and throughput expectations that support timely, evidence-based resolution of customer and field quality concerns.

  • Failure Analysis: Own the standards for returned-part analysis, component teardown, failure reproduction, and validation testing so engineering teams can make decisions based on objective evidence and repeatable methods.

  • Fleet Validation: Manage Lucid’s Field Quality vehicle fleet and determine how vehicles are used for issue reproduction, durability accumulation, corrective action validation, and emerging risk identification.

  • Corrective Actions: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, service, and warranty teams to validate design changes, process improvements, containment plans, and service procedures before broader implementation.

  • Technical Escalations: Provide laboratory evidence, risk assessment, and investigation recommendations for high-priority quality issues, customer escalations, and cross-functional leadership reviews.

  • Capability Growth: Identify and implement laboratory tools, test methods, documentation systems, and analytical capabilities that improve investigation speed, consistency, and technical rigor.

  • Team Leadership: Build, coach, and develop a team of laboratory engineers and technicians while establishing clear performance expectations, safe work practices, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • years of experience in automotive quality, reliability, validation, testing,: laboratory operations, product engineering, field quality, warranty engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • years of leadership experience managing engineering, laboratory, validation, or technical investigation teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,: Automotive Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
