What you'll do
Be a native Japanese speaker, also proficient in English / 日本語を母語とし、英語にも堪能であること
Serve as Waymo’s primary engineering/technical liaison with automotive and: traffic safety regulators in Japan, e.g. Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLIT) National Police Agency (NPA), and Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department (TMPD). You will work with Waymo’s Policy, Legal, and other teams to establish and maintain proactive outreach with these regulators and also respond to requests from regulators. / 国土交通省（MLIT）、警察庁（NPA）、警視庁（TMPD）など、日本の自動車および交通安全規制当局に対する Waymo の主要なエンジニアリング / 技術連絡窓口を務めます。Waymo のポリシー、法務、その他のチームと連携し、これらの規制当局との積極的な連携関係を確立および維持するとともに、規制当局からの要請にも対応します。
You will work with Waymo’s Field Safety team in the United States to identify: and analyze issues that could impact the safety of Waymo’s fleet of autonomous vehicles, bringing your local Japan perspective to help identify and prioritize issues that could impact Waymo’s operations in Japan. / 米国の Waymo のフィールド セーフティ チームと連携して、Waymo の自動運転車フリートの安全性に影響を及ぼす可能性のある問題を特定して分析するとともに、日本に関する知見を活かして、日本での Waymo のオペレーションに影響する課題を特定し、優先順位付けを行います。
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical: degree / 工学、コンピュータ サイエンス、または関連する技術分野の学士号
+ years of engineering or other technical experience in automotive or another: transportation field. / 自動車またはその他の輸送分野における 10 年以上のエンジニアリングまたはその他の技術分野での経験
Experience with Japan’s automotive and/or transportation regulatory framework: and familiarity with expectations when working with these regulators. / 日本の自動車および / または運輸分野の規制の枠組みに関する経験、ならびにこれらの規制当局と連携する際の期待事項への理解
