What you'll do

  • As a Flight Test Engineer under minimal supervision, you will determine and: develop various approaches to achieve T&E goals for a Small UAS/Quadcopter and help guide and perform the completion of test activities.

  • This position will focus heavily on new sUAS/Quadcopter aircraft development,: with an emphasis in electronics, avionics, propulsion, flight characteristics, rugged design, and quality at scale.

  • Test duties include system and sub-system level T&E of hardware and software.: As part of this process you will support or lead in test planning, establishing test measures of success, test conducting (ground and flight), analyzing test performance, and driving process improvement/development.

  • In this role, you will be subject to pre-employment and randomized substance: screening, as required by the Company.

  • + years sUAS flight test engineering experience and a bachelor's degree or a: related technical discipline from an accredited institution.

  • Previous expertise and working knowledge of the National Airspace System and: UAS operating rules and regulations thereof.

What they're looking for

  • Previous experience in working with energetics, explosive hazard handling and: operation procedures, and Electronic Safe-Arming Device (ESAD) are preferred.
  • Must have a complete understanding of and passion for SUAS/Quadcopter: engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and, expansive knowledge of principles, concepts, theory, and practices in related technical specialties.
  • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them: accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
  • Strong software and documentation experience.
