Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 by JB Straubel, co-founder and former CTO of Tesla, on a simple but radical idea: the critical minerals powering the energy transition already exist. They just need to come back.

What you'll do

• Identify, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers for electronics, interconnects, and PCBA components.

• Lead RFQ/RFP efforts, negotiate commercial terms, and establish MSAs, SOWs, and pricing agreements.

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure supplier readiness for NPI and mass production.

• Monitor supplier performance and manage escalations in quality, cost, or delivery.

• Work cross-functionally to ensure part readiness, VMI/buffer inventory, and cost optimization over lifecycle.

• Analyze BOM cost structure and propose sourcing strategies to reduce landed cost and mitigate risk.

What they're looking for

• Support make-vs-buy, dual sourcing, and localization efforts across global supply chains.
• Contribute to CM sourcing decisions, lead-time analysis, and manufacturing footprint strategies.
• S. in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent technical background; MBA is a plus.
• –6 years of sourcing or GSM experience, ideally in EV, energy, or high-voltage electronics industries.
