What you'll do
Work directly with key internal stakeholders to develop/implement sourcing: and cost management strategies; owning the semiconductor commodity
Understand the technical aspects of electronic components to identify: opportunities for design selection, cost, and reliability
Own vendor management and negotiations to meet new product introduction (NPI) schedules
Create and own supply strategy to ensure production clear to build readiness and supply risk mitigation
Develop and manage supply base (domestic and international) for electronic components
Work directly with key suppliers to develop and implement sourcing and cost: management strategies that support existing platforms and new product development
What they're looking for
- Evaluate demand while placing and managing purchase orders according to demand signals
- Track delivery and supplier delivery performance
- Provide guidance to internal engineering customers on recommended suppliers to use
- Act as the supplier interface for all RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
