What you'll do

• Lead and grow a team of engineers. Manage direct reports, including hiring,: onboarding, performance reviews, career development, and day-to-day people leadership.

• Set the technical direction for scenario design and analysis. Guide how the: team exercises our software across simulated and real-world data sets and ensure the resulting analysis produces performance results people can act on.

• Own the metrics strategy. Define the measures of system success across the: team's portfolio, ensure they're instrumented correctly, and use them to drive engineering decisions and product roadmap discussions with leadership.

• Represent the team in customer engagements. Oversee and personally: participate in building and configuring simulation scenarios for customer-facing demos, and serve as a technical voice with customers and stakeholders.

• Drive root-cause analysis of system behavior. Guide the team's: characterization of individual component behavior and emergent behaviors arising from system interactions, and use those findings to shape architecture.

• Build and scale the tooling. Set priorities for new data analysis and: observability tooling and CI/CD automation, balancing team bandwidth against engineering needs.

What they're looking for

• Operate across the seams. Partner with algorithm and software engineering: leads to resolve cross-team issues, remove blockers for your team, and mentor engineers on integration and test best practices.
• + years of software engineering or software systems integration and test: experience. Degree in Engineering, Physics, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• + year of direct people management experience (hiring, performance: management, career development of direct reports).
• Strong Python skills for data parsing, analysis, and visualization
