What you'll do
Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical and equipment issues to determine the source of malfunctions.
Perform repairs involving dismantling, repairing, and reassembling machinery: and mechanical components using hand and power tools.
Replace defective or worn parts using stock materials or fabricated components.
Operate or coordinate with machine shops for fabrication or major repairs as needed.
Prepare written specifications for major repairs or part fabrication.
Reassemble equipment and perform adjustments to ensure proper operation.
