What you'll do

• Own the disposition and rework of engines that fail internal acceptance test: or are returned by customers, addressing both hardware failures and upgrades to the latest configuration for the entire program.

• Diagnose engine-level issues by analyzing test data, inspecting hardware, and: driving each failure to its true root cause.

• Author clear, complete rework instructions and partner closely with: production to communicate tasks, priorities, and expectations.

• Manage configuration across the EBOM and MBOM to keep every engine traceable to its correct build state.

• Lead teardown and inspection of returned engines, documenting findings and: determining whether components are serviceable, repairable, or scrap.

• Define and manage upgrade paths that bring legacy-configuration engines to: the current standard, including the required rework steps and parts.

What they're looking for

• Feed failure findings back to design, quality, and reliability engineering so: recurring issues are corrected at the source.
• Estimate rework scope, cost, and turnaround time, and coordinate with: planning and supply chain to signal hardware demand.
• Verify that every reworked engine meets requirements and passes acceptance: testing before it ships to the customer.
• Maintain accurate as-built records so each engine's final configuration is fully documented after rework.
