What you'll do
Own a portion of the manufacturing value chain for a product, from prototype through rate.
Develop tooling for the fabrication and assembly of structural parts.
Develop process flows that break complex assemblies into a logical flow of subassemblies and sub-processes.
Author build documentation, including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
Work with contract manufacturers across PCBA fabrication, metallic: manufacturing, and assembly to develop repeatable processes.
Build prototype hardware hands-on with technicians and other engineers, and: root-cause and resolve floor issues.
What they're looking for
- Operate with incomplete or still-evolving design inputs: ask the right questions, work from first principles, and create structure where none yet exists.
- + years in manufacturing engineering, or equivalent hands-on build experience.
- BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred, or: equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
- ME fundamentals across drawings and GD&T, DFM, work instructions, and: tooling, with comfort in ambiguity and rate.
