What you'll do
Develop, program, and execute inspection routines for CMMs, portable arms,: and laser trackers using software like PC-DMIS, Polyworks, and Spatial Analyzer.
Analyze inspection data to perform root cause analysis, support statistical: process control (SPC) initiatives, and conduct capability studies.
Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers to provide Design for: Manufacturability/Inspectability (DFM/DFI) feedback on new products.
Interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models to create: comprehensive inspection plans that effectively validate GD&T requirements.
Generate clear and concise inspection reports and present findings to: cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions.
Support the development and documentation of standard operating procedures: for metrology processes within our AS9100 Quality Management System.
What they're looking for
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
- Direct programming experience with multiple metrology platforms (e.g.,: proficiency in both PC-DMIS and Spatial Analyzer).
- Hands-on experience with both fixed CMMs and portable metrology equipment (laser trackers, portable arms).
- Experience creating First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to the AS9102 standard.
- Familiarity with CAD software (such as NX or SolidWorks) for interrogating models.
