What you'll do
Program Ownership: Own site-wide health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs for hyperscale data center construction projects.
On-Site Oversight: Perform daily walkthroughs focused on high-risk activities including trenching, crane operations, scaffolding, and heavy equipment.
Contractor Management: Partner with prime contractors to ensure safety programs are effectively implemented and deliverables are provided in a timely manner.
Safety Metrics: Track and report incident rates, near misses, and leading safety indicators to drive continuous improvement.
Electrical Commissioning Safety: Lead safety oversight during the transition to live power environments, including UPS, switchgear, and generators.
Audit & Leadership: Audit prime contractor safety programs and lead weekly safety leadership meetings.
What they're looking for
- Emergency Preparedness: Establish and maintain emergency response plans, evacuation routes, and medical response procedures.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental: Science, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant Experience: 5+ years in heavy industrial construction safety (e.g., oil and gas, power generation, or large-scale manufacturing).
- Required Certifications: Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification or OSHA 510; First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
