The opportunity
The Anduril Battlespace Awareness Radar team develops state-of-the-art radar systems, deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies. The Radar team is seeking an experienced RF Engineer to help us design, test, and deploy the next generation of US radars.
What you'll do
Design : Develop the RF design of analog beamforming AESA subsystems: incorporating T/R modules, beamforming ICs, corporate feed networks, and front-end filtering — for radar applications. Conduct trade studies, RF simulations, and prototyping to drive innovation and ensure optimal system performance.
Cross-Domain Collaboration: Work across antenna, digital, mechanical, and systems engineering to define array architectures that meet the needs of users in the field. Bake in design excellence, including DFM and DFT, so that our systems can support the warfighter for the long-haul.
Test : Drive RF characterization of AESA hardware: including near-field antenna range measurements, RFFE performance mapping, and system-level radar mode verification. Conduct the troubleshooting process when hardware doesn't behave and drive root cause to closure.
Support : Provide engineering support at field tests to display product capabilities to customers.
What they're looking for
- Master's in RF/Microwave Engineering.
- Experience designing and testing active phased array radar with beamforming technologies.
- Knowledge of antenna array simulation, design, and manufacturing.
- Experience with PCB technologies for high-frequency RF and high-density: interconnect routing, such as microvias, multiple sub-laminations, etc.
