Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.

What you'll do

  • Manage multiple civil engineering projects throughout planning, design, bid,: and construction phases, including BMC1 sitewide infrastructure, plant projects, and off-site BESS deployments

  • Independently develop high-quality civil engineering deliverables including: construction documents, drawings, specifications, narratives, and calculations in conformance with IBC, ASCE 7, and local jurisdictional requirements

  • Proactively communicate project needs, changes, schedule, and status to: internal stakeholders and external team members

  • Review drawings and proposals by vendors, engineers, and architects, and: drive multi-disciplinary coordination across structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and I&C

  • Manage external civil engineering consultants including scope of work,: deliverables, and budget, and guide consultant designs through project completion

  • Perform constructability reviews, support permitting and agency coordination: with Storey County and other AHJs, and resolve civil RFIs and field changes during construction

What they're looking for

  • Ensure compliance with company engineering processes, applicable codes and: standards, and regulatory and safety requirements across all design deliverables
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE); Nevada licensure required or: obtainable via comity within 2 months of hire
  • + years of hands-on experience designing and building high-tech/industrial: infrastructure and operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, manufacturing, etc.) or battery energy storage system deployments
