What you'll do
Lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and: equipment for battery packs, cell assemblies, and high-voltage power systems
Design and optimize production processes for efficiency, scalability,: quality, and safety, including cell handling, module assembly, welding/bonding, and pack integration
Provide DFM/A feedback to electrical and mechanical design teams, driving: manufacturability into cell selection, pack architecture, thermal management, and pressure vessel integration
Create and review process maps and work instructions for battery assembly and test
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste,: improve quality, and increase productivity
Utilize Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance manufacturing operations
What they're looking for
- Battery pack or cell design experience, including cell selection, module/pack: architecture, BMS integration, thermal management, or safety qualification
- Experience with high-voltage systems and safe work practices for electrical systems up to 400VDC
- Familiarity with cell-joining processes (laser/ultrasonic/resistance welding,: wire bonding) and battery test/formation equipment
- Experience in maritime robotics (AUVs, UUVs, USVs, subsea sensors)
- Subsea cable splicing or fabrication experience
- Experience with pressure vessels and/or industrial pressure test equipment
- Prior experience working with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), or Oracle (ERP) or equivalents
- Experience with large scale, high-mix manufacturing at different stages of product maturity
