This Senior Mechanical Engineer position is responsible for the physical design and sustainment of unmanned aircraft and related hardware systems. In this role you work closely and iteratively with an aircraft design to optimize system designs to maximize performance against desired performance metrics.

What you'll do

• This position will involve contributing to and leading in a team environment: on the design, analysis, fabrication, prototyping, and flight testing of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and launch systems.

• Individually perform, and coach others in all aspects of mechanical design

• Component and assembly-level design and prototyping

• System and sub-system design, modeling, and prototyping

• Production drawings applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Review and approve designs, analyses, and engineering drawings

• Defense, national security, or aerospace domain familiarity through industry or education
• Experience leading projects from development through manufacturing and sustainment
• Relevant experience in design or analysis of aerospace structures or subsystems
• Experience leading engineering product teams
