What you'll do
Primary role is enclosure design using various design principles & processes: including, sheetmetal, turned/milled, injection moulded, cast and extruded parts.
Liaise with the Hardware team on PCBA & cable design
Generate parts on PLM system
Liaise with suppliers to get custom parts built
Spec off-the-shelf components & source for prototype build
Product prototype assembly or disassembly, including the development of build: instructions and other general product development documentation
What they're looking for
- Validate design through environmental testing in contracted test labs to: applicable standards (MIL-810-H for example)
- Work through the prototype process to finalised design ready for production
- Define & handover mechanical BOM to NPI team via PLM system
- General Engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product
