What you'll do
Lead Mechanical Design, Integration & Assembly: Oversee and execute the design and physical integration of complex mechanical subsystems, electromechanical assemblies, and components into larger system architectures, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality.
Design & Execute Test Campaigns: Develop detailed mechanical test plans, procedures, and custom fixtures for functional, performance, environmental (e.g., thermal, vibration, shock), and qualification testing, then conduct these tests and collect critical data.
Analyze Data & Troubleshoot Issues: Analyze test data to identify anomalies, perform root cause analysis for mechanical failures or performance deviations, and work collaboratively with design engineers to implement effective solutions.
Cross-Functional Verification: Collaborate intensely with Electrical, Systems, Software, and Manufacturing teams to define interfaces, verify system-level performance, ensure testability, and provide critical feedback for design improvements.
Document & Refine Processes: Generate comprehensive test reports, assembly instructions, and engineering change requests; continuously refine integration and test methodologies to enhance efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability (DFA).
