The opportunity
Title: Senior Software Engineer, Business Map
What you'll do
Design, build, and ship features in Business Map's backend services, from a: written design through production rollout
Own a feature area end to end, including its tests, monitoring, and staged rollout behind feature flags
Work with engineers on partner teams as they adopt new location and organization data
Join the team's on-call rotation, and fix the root causes of what you find there
Write designs for your features and give thoughtful code reviews
Help newer engineers on the team through pairing and code review
What they're looking for
- + years building backend services in Java, Kotlin, or another object-oriented language
- Proficient with relational databases and SQL (we use Postgres)
- Experience owning and operating production systems, including on-call and debugging live issues
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven messaging, or microservices
