What you'll do
Own the native mobile architecture for Identity surfaces in Swift and Kotlin,: defining module boundaries, navigation patterns, and platform abstractions that product teams build on as Identity scales.
Drive the native versus webview strategy for authentication and identity: verification flows, evaluating trade-offs across latency, reliability, conversion, and user experience to determine what ships natively and what stays in webview.
Build and optimize critical mobile flows including biometric authentication,: document capture, liveness detection, and device-aware identity signals, delivering smooth performance across device tiers.
Partner with backend, product, security, and fraud teams to integrate mobile: Identity surfaces with platform APIs, vendor orchestration layers, and risk signals while balancing conversion with account protection.
Lead technical design and code quality across the mobile Identity codebase,: reviewing code at depth, authoring RFCs for cross-cutting decisions, and mentoring L3-L5 mobile engineers on the team.
+ years of native mobile software engineering experience in Swift/iOS or: Kotlin/Android, with working proficiency in the other platform and willingness to develop cross-platform fluency.
What they're looking for
- Track record of owning mobile architecture decisions for complex,: multi-screen flows at scale, with shipped outcomes in authentication, identity verification, or similarly high-trust user journeys.
- Deep understanding of mobile performance optimization including cold start,: frame rendering, camera and sensor integration, and time-to-interaction tuning across device tiers including low-end Android.
- Demonstrated ability to drive native versus webview technical strategy, with: experience evaluating trade-offs across reliability, latency, and iteration speed for sensitive user flows.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with backend platform, product, and: security teams to ship integrated mobile experiences that depend on distributed backend services.
