What you'll do
Own the design and delivery of backend systems for cost basis tracking,: gain/loss calculation, withholding automation, and tax reporting infrastructure
Build new pipelines for broker reporting, automated withholding, and clearing: integrations with partners as Coinbase expands into equities, margin, and options
Partner with Product, Design, Tax, Trading, and Positions teams to take: ambiguous problems from scoping through production rollout
Drive an extensible tax architecture so every new product launch can plug: into shared primitives without bespoke rework
Strengthen engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, and technical mentorship across the team
+ years of backend software engineering experience building and operating: production systems with high-quality, well-tested code
What they're looking for
- Strong distributed systems fundamentals, with experience designing: high-throughput services and data pipelines where correctness is critical
- Track record owning complex systems end-to-end, from design through: production operation, in fast-changing domains
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with product, design, and: cross-functional partners to translate ambiguous requirements into shipped solutions
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver: business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
