The opportunity
Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience in Software Engineering.
What you'll do
Build scalable and reliable backend services, webhooks and public-facing APIs;
Write high-quality, maintainable code to reliably process and evaluate data: signals in real-time, solving complex problems at scale;
Take ownership of medium-sized technical projects, translating requirements: and constraints into reliable, secure, and explainable system architectures;
Actively contribute to the team's on-call rotation, effectively debugging,: operating, and maintaining high-visibility systems using established runbooks and best practices;
Engage directly with product teams to understand internal and external user: pain points, using those insights to build the right solutions and help inform the team's roadmap.
What they're looking for
- Programming languages including Java, Ruby, Python and Go;
- Building scalable and reliable backend services, webhooks and public-facing APIs;
- Designing, building, and deploying distributed backend services in a: production environment, including handling concurrency, fault tolerance, and service reliability at scale;
- Working with relational databases in Postgre SQL, MySQL or NoSQL data stores,: including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling for high-throughput workloads;
- Stream processing or event-driven architectures in Kafka, Kinesis, or: equivalent, including producing, consuming, and reliably processing high-volume data streams;
- Translate product and engineering requirements into scalable, secure, and: maintainable system designs, including defining service boundaries, failure modes, and observability strategies;
- Building automated systems or tooling to instrument, measure, and evaluate: the end-to-end customer experience of digital products, including test automation frameworks, signal collection pipelines, or quality evaluation workflows;
- Developing interactive frontend components, dashboards, or data reports using: React and D3.js to visualize customer behavior, product metrics, and operational signals in real time.
