What you'll do
Build network automation tools to support switch configurations, config: backups, software updates, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
Create Python scripts to automate manual network processes.
Measure, maintain, and improve the uptime and performance of the network.
Act as technical product owner for infrastructure tools and software used by the network engineering team.
Scale networks with automation and operational improvements.
Collaborate with network engineers to create operable and maintainable infrastructure.
What they're looking for
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or other: STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional network automation, network engineering, or site reliability engineering experience; OR 8+ years of network automation experience and high school diploma or equivalency certificate in lieu of a degree.
- Networking protocols and traffic types: TCP, IPv4/IPv6, voice, video, broadcast, and streaming.
- Linux operating systems.
