The opportunity
Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company with the mission to be the world's most trusted driver. Since its start as the Google Self-Driving Car Project in 2009, Waymo has focused on building the Waymo Driver—The World's Most Experienced Driver™—to improve access to…
What you'll do
Lead cross-functional technical programs to integrate Waymo's autonomous service with third-party platforms.
Own the technical delivery of external integrations end-to-end, from creating: the cross-functional execution plan to defining the process for ensuring continued quality post-launch.
Serve as the primary execution counterpart for external teams, translating an: ambiguous set of work into clearly defined deliverables, owners, and schedule.
Drive technical trade-off decisions across scope, schedule, scalability, and user experience.
Proactively identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks and dependencies across: multiple concurrent partner programs, and represent them to executive leadership.
Build the scalable frameworks, processes, and tooling that let Waymo onboard: and operate many partner integrations without a linear increase in effort.
What they're looking for
- + years of experience leading highly complex, cross-functional technical: programs with a holistic understanding of business-wide functions (e.g. Product, Engineering, Business Development, Operations).
- A track record of shipping consumer-facing software products and features,: with demonstrated ownership of the execution from kickoff through launch and post-launch operations.
- Experience running programs where critical dependencies sit with teams: outside your direct influence, and a track record of getting them to deliver.
- Strong technical depth: you can read a system design, hold your own in architecture and API discussions with engineers, and tease out the scope, schedule, and risk implications of each option to drive the decision.
