What you'll do
Establish the technical roadmap and architectural vision for the fleet: connectivity, ensuring the observability, security, and reliability of cellular network components and network software during robot start-up and autonomous operation.
Drive system design for highly scalable, fault-tolerant connectivity: solutions, leading software efforts for Nuro’s next-gen platforms.
Lead high-impact technical initiatives, working closely with upstream and: downstream stakeholder teams to define system requirements and implement overarching connectivity strategies.
Spearhead the development of advanced analysis tools, dashboards, and: automation frameworks to track, measure, and optimize connectivity trends from operational data.
Serve as the technical authority for the team, providing high-level design: guidance, code reviews, and technical mentorship for both junior and senior engineers.
Strong proficiency in C, C++, Go, Python, or similar languages.
What they're looking for
- Exceptional ability to turn ambiguous, high-level requirements into detailed,: cohesive system designs and architecture spanning multiple components.
- Deep technical expertise in debugging and tooling of cellular modems, Linux: network stacks, and networking protocols.
- + years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record of acting: as a Tech Lead on complex software projects.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
