What you'll do

  • Complex Transaction Analysis: Lead the research and evaluation of complex transactions, including debt/equity transactions, consolidation, lease accounting, revenue recognition, and other topics.

  • Technical Documentation & Leadership Communication: Prepare clear, comprehensive technical accounting memoranda documenting the Company's conclusions and compliance under US GAAP, and present the related accounting considerations to leadership.

  • SEC Financial Statements & Footnotes: Prepare and review aspects of the Company's quarterly financial statements and footnotes in compliance with SEC reporting requirements.

  • MD&A Authorship: Author the Management's Discussion and Analysis section to ensure clear, accurate narratives of financial results and trends.

  • Global Accounting Policy: Formulate global accounting policies and assist with the implementation of those policies across the organization.

  • New Standards Adoption: Monitor, analyze, and interpret new accounting pronouncements from the FASB, SEC, and other regulatory bodies to assess their impact on financial reporting, and drive the planning and implementation of new standards.

What they're looking for

  • External Audit Partnership: Coordinate and engage with external auditors on the review of technical accounting positions, consolidated financial statements, and new accounting standards.
  • Internal Control Environment: Support the maintenance of a strong internal control environment (SOX compliance) over technical accounting and financial reporting processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
