What you'll do
Lead the collection, and deployment of dimensional targets, ensuring they are: effectively incorporated into product, process, and tooling designs.
Validate in launch component and assembly locating strategies to achieve vehicle-level dimensional objectives.
Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to develop robust tooling concepts: that support dimensional quality targets throughout product development and production.
Provide technical leadership for the validation of dimensional simulation models using 3DCS.
Collaborate closely with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams: to develop, validate, and implement Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.
Lead the optimization, and validation of GD&T schemes for components and: assemblies to ensure dimensional performance meets or exceeds program targets.
What they're looking for
- Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive gaging and: measurement strategies for prototype and production phases for in plant assemblies.
- Drive cross-functional reviews to identify dimensional risks and recommend: design, process, tooling, and manufacturing improvements.
- Lead root cause investigations and resolution activities for dimensional: issues identified during prototype builds, launch, and production.
- Develop dimensional engineering standards, best practices, methodologies, and: procedures to improve organizational capability and consistency.
