What you'll do
Welds with flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW),: shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum structural shapes, tubing, and piping
Cuts, trims, fits, and fabricates weldments to the required dimensions
Confirms the weld procedure, material, and filler size with the lead welder before each job
Reviews engineering drawings and specifications when a weld procedure does not already cover the work
Reduces turnaround time by improving the sequence of welding work
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
What they're looking for
- + years of welding experience in a fabrication environment using FCAW, or using GTAW on Schedule 10 pipe
- + years of GTAW experience on Schedule 10 stainless steel pipe or Schedule 10 carbon steel pipe
- + years of FCAW experience on stainless steel or carbon steel
- A welding qualification to AWS D1.1, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.6, AWS D17.1, or ASME Section IX
