What you'll do
Work on backend infrastructure stability and reliability
Feature work in applications such as Event Response or vehicle maintenance tracking
Optimize robotaxi marketplace to balance the supply and demand of Waymo’s robotaxi services
Design and develop backend and infrastructure that supports various ride: hailing businesses and AV fleet management
Design and build ML and optimization models for predicting vehicle routing,: future demand, passenger destination suggestions, vehicle dispatch optimization, and ETA prediction
Progressing towards BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
What they're looking for
- Interested in infrastructure work: building internal tools, frameworks, and libraries
- Interested in working in scaling commercial operations
- Excellent communication skills: both technically with other engineers, and with non-technical stakeholders
- Excited about working on self-driving cars!
