What you'll do
Research and implement novel ML perception solutions for Waymo’s self driving stack
Develop applied research solutions to data-scarse challenges in Waymo’s weather space.
Cross functional discussion and development within the Waymo onboard SW team
MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics or equivalent
Experience with machine learning applications, including transformer applications and ML evaluation techniques
Experience with Python programming
What they're looking for
- Experience with reading and implementing ML algorithms from academic papers
- Familiarity with Tensorflow or Pytorch or JAX
- Classical computer vision or computational geometry experience
- Submissions in relevant robotics, ML, or Computer Vision Conferences (ICML, RSS, IROS, CORL, CVPR)
