What you'll do
Investigate potential scams and fraud involving OpenAI products, including: complex or coordinated activity, and document clear, defensible findings.
Assess urgent and ambiguous cases, distinguish substantiated abuse from: legitimate use, and recommend proportionate responses.
Communicate findings, uncertainty and recommendations clearly to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Work with colleagues across the company to improve how OpenAI responds to emerging scams and fraud.
Understand online scams and financial fraud, and can adapt as tactics and risks evolve.
Bring strong technical and analytical skills, including experience working: with complex information and learning new tools.
What they're looking for
- Make careful judgments from incomplete or conflicting evidence and state the: limits of your conclusions. Relevant language or regional expertise is a plus.
- Have at least five years investigating online scams, financial fraud,: cybercrime or related forms of online abuse.
- Have at least two years of experience conducting applied abuse research or improving investigative practices.
- Write clear, well-supported reports and explain findings to technical and nontechnical audiences.
