What you'll do
Drive accountability and ownership across the global close processes to: ensure timeliness and accuracy of deliverables
Drive adoption of AI and automation across your close areas, including: AI-assisted reconciliations, automated accrual workflows, and leveraging the Databricks platform to yield close insights and reduce manual data preparation.
Mentor and manage accounting staff, leading the coordination of the monthly,: quarterly and annual close and reporting activities
Improve scalability and reduce manual effort: identify and implement process improvements, standard templates, and control points to simplify workflows, increase automation where possible.
Review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting analysis for: accruals (specifically cloud), and other functional areas, as needed
Support M&A activity including consolidation of acquired entities,: involvement in new transactions, and integration into Databricks' accounting infrastructure

- Partner with cross-functional teams, such as Technical Accounting, FP&A,: Procurement, and AP on monthly close matters
- Prepare and review support to be provided to external audit team
- Support SOX compliance over the financial statement close cycle
