What you'll do
Own the review and approval of monthly financing accounting entries,: reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness through each close cycle.
Build scalable, automated financial processes and controls for the prime: financing function, including drafting standard operating procedures that reduce manual effort and support SOX compliance.
Lead your team through the monthly financial close, quarterly reporting, and: annual audit processes, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are audit-ready.
Partner with cross-functional teams to provide accounting insights on SEC: regulations and lending practices, translating regulatory developments into actionable accounting guidance.
Drive the design and implementation of new controls and processes for: platform and brokerage accounting activities, identifying gaps and recommending improvements that keep pace with business growth.
CPA designation with 9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including: a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry roles in fintech or financial services.
What they're looking for
- Direct experience with financing, lending, or prime brokerage accounting at a: publicly traded company, including familiarity with SEC reporting requirements.
- Proven track record of building accounting processes and internal controls: from the ground up, including designing SOPs and implementing automation that reduced close timelines or error rates.
- Experience managing or leading a team through monthly close cycles and: quarterly/annual reporting, with demonstrated ability to meet tight regulatory deadlines.
- Working proficiency in NetSuite, FloQast, and Google Suite, with the ability: to leverage these tools to streamline close and reporting workflows.
