Cloud Infrastructure EngineerActive

The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate the AWS infrastructure that powers Cerebras' products and platform. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role at the intersection of infrastructure engineering and reliability — you will architect…

What you'll do

  • Architect and operate core AWS infrastructure: VPCs, EKS/ECS, IAM, networking (Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink), and data services (RDS, S3, ElastiCache).

  • Own the reliability posture of cloud workloads: define SLOs, error budgets, and runbooks; lead incident response and durable root cause remediation.

  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and GitOps: pipelines; eliminate manual provisioning entirely.

  • Design and implement multi-account AWS organization strategies (AWS: Organizations, Control Tower, SCPs) for security and cost governance.

  • Instrument cloud infrastructure with comprehensive observability: metrics, tracing, alerting, and cost visibility using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.

  • Drive automation for provisioning, scaling, patching, and lifecycle management to eliminate toil.

What they're looking for

  • + years of experience in cloud infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps roles with a: strong software engineering foundation.
  • Deep, hands-on AWS expertise: able to architect complex multi-region, multi-account environments from first principles. AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent practical depth required.
  • Expert-level Terraform; experience with Atlantis or similar GitOps workflows for infrastructure.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or similar: comfortable writing production-grade automation, not just scripts.
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred): cluster lifecycle, networking (CNI, service mesh), and workload reliability.
  • Deep understanding of AWS networking: VPC design, peering, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, security groups, and NACLs.
  • Experience with AWS IAM at scale: role design, permission boundaries, OIDC federation, and least-privilege enforcement.
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and deploying AI-assisted automation: for triage, incident response, or operational workflows.
