The opportunity
The Runway team builds and maintains infrastructure and developer tooling for GitLab's engineering organization. Its work centers on a Kubernetes-based platform, GitOps delivery practices, and infrastructure as code.
What you'll do
Operate and improve production Kubernetes clusters across cloud environments,: managing upgrades, scaling, and reliability throughout the cluster lifecycle.
Own and extend Argo CD-based GitOps workflows, maintaining ApplicationSets,: managing sync policies, and enforcing deployment standards across environments.
Write, review, and maintain reusable Terraform modules, with clear practices: for state management and drift detection.
Monitor platform health, respond to incidents, conduct post-mortems, and: improve availability, performance, and observability.
Collaborate with application teams to onboard services, and create: documentation, runbooks, and self-service tooling that improves developer productivity.
Implement role-based access control, network policies, and secrets management: to meet infrastructure security and compliance requirements.

- Integrate platform capabilities with continuous integration and continuous: delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to support end-to-end delivery workflows.
