The opportunity
Notion’s Content Onboarding team builds the systems that help customers move content into Notion, get started faster, and keep growing reliably over time. The role matters because one of Notion’s core differentiators is replacing multiple tools — and that only becomes real when…
What you'll do
Shape the technical and product vision for Notion’s import systems, so: customers can pull content from more sources and transform it into a trustworthy system of record.
By your 90th day, you’ll have clarified the near-term roadmap and de-risked: the most important technical decisions for importers, exports, and internal admin tooling. You’ll connect AI-era and agentic workflow patterns to onboarding and import experiences — using AI to improve product judgment, prototyping, and engineering quality from design through production.
By the end of your first year, engineering excellence will be a team norm:: reliable systems, clear operational standards, and a shared understanding of what it takes to keep critical workflows running. You will have a steady operating rhythm with HQ while owning a clear north star for the Content Onboarding surface area.
Strong technical leadership: you can represent the team’s work, hold a high engineering bar, and de-risk decisions through clear processes, delegation, and senior IC partnership.
Ability to craft and maintain multi-quarter team strategy, especially where: outcomes depend on adjacent product and engineering teams.
Experience developing senior engineers, strengthening operating rhythms, and: building high-performing engineering teams with durable standards.
What they're looking for
- Distributed-team leadership: you can set direction for a local team while staying tightly coordinated with cross-functional partners across time zones.
