The Core DevOps team at GitLab owns core repository capabilities, from Git command-line operations to web-based code exploration. Our roadmap includes improvements to existing features, maintainability, accessibility, performance, and workflows for teams using AI-assisted development tools.
What you'll do
Build, manage, and mentor a globally distributed engineering team, creating: an environment where team members can thrive and advance their careers.
Hire, onboard, and develop engineers while maintaining high standards for: quality, accountability, and psychological safety.
Partner with product management, product design, and cross-functional: engineering teams to align technical direction, shape roadmaps, and deliver against commitments.
Guide engineers on system architecture, code quality, performance, security,: and maintainability across frontend and backend disciplines.
Manage and refine agile, remote, and asynchronous workflows, maintaining: delivery cadence and addressing blockers, backlogs, or delayed execution early.
Encourage and integrate AI capabilities and modern developer tooling into: daily workflows to improve productivity, innovation, and efficiency.
