What you'll do
Maintain environmental compliance with all applicable regulations including: but not limited to AQMD, LACSD, CARB, RWQCB, DTSC, CERCLA, CUPA, DOT, EPA and other applicable California and federal regulatory agencies
Perform tasks related to HWCL regulatory hazardous waste handling, storage and disposal requirements
Monitor and manage levels of hazardous waste at each department’s satellite accumulation area
Perform waste determinations of new waste streams
Ensure all waste is properly labeled
Ensure all waste is properly stored, according to its classification
What they're looking for
- Accurately record and maintain 90-day hazardous waste inventory logs
- Perform all required hazardous waste and hazardous material storage area inspections
- Schedule, prepare and assist in the execution of waste shipments in partnership with waste disposal contractor
- Consolidate and lab pack waste when appropriate
