The opportunity

Anduril’s Facilities team is seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our team. The Facilities Operations team is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the physical infrastructure to ensure operational continuity, safety, and efficiency.

What you'll do

  • Oversee the safe operation, reliability, and maintenance of the campus: electrical distribution system, including high-voltage substations, medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, and emergency backup systems (generators/UPS).

  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs: for critical electrical assets (e.g., infrared thermography, transformer oil analysis, relay testing, and breaker maintenance).

  • Provide engineering and commissioning support for campus construction: projects, ensuring new electrical installations meet utility requirements, local codes, and design intent.

  • Lead commissioning, startup, and acceptance testing of critical electrical equipment.

  • Conduct power quality investigations, electrical load studies, and capacity: planning to support changing manufacturing and testing operations.

  • Serve as the campus champion for electrical safety, managing the NFPA 70E: compliance program, arc flash study updates, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience utilizing power analysis software (e.g., SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower): for short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
  • Experience in high-availability environments such as data centers,: semiconductor fabs, aerospace facilities, or heavy industrial plants.
  • Experience supporting secure spaces (SCIFs/SAPFs).
