The opportunity
Anduril’s Facilities team is seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our team. The Facilities Operations team is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the physical infrastructure to ensure operational continuity, safety, and efficiency.
What you'll do
Oversee the safe operation, reliability, and maintenance of the campus: electrical distribution system, including high-voltage substations, medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, and emergency backup systems (generators/UPS).
Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs: for critical electrical assets (e.g., infrared thermography, transformer oil analysis, relay testing, and breaker maintenance).
Provide engineering and commissioning support for campus construction: projects, ensuring new electrical installations meet utility requirements, local codes, and design intent.
Lead commissioning, startup, and acceptance testing of critical electrical equipment.
Conduct power quality investigations, electrical load studies, and capacity: planning to support changing manufacturing and testing operations.
Serve as the campus champion for electrical safety, managing the NFPA 70E: compliance program, arc flash study updates, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience utilizing power analysis software (e.g., SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower): for short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
- Experience in high-availability environments such as data centers,: semiconductor fabs, aerospace facilities, or heavy industrial plants.
- Experience supporting secure spaces (SCIFs/SAPFs).
