What you'll do
Perform routine building maintenance tasks, including non-technical: troubleshooting and repair of plumbing, electrical, HVAC/R, carpentry, and other facilities systems
Conduct repairs to facilities and premises as assigned, including painting,: applying coatings and finishes to surfaces using various techniques and tools (e.g., rollers, sprayers, brushes), patching and repairing damaged surfaces (e.g., drywall, concrete, wood, walls), replacing ceiling tiles, assembling furniture, office/kitchen equipment, installing/replacing carpet, tiles, trim, molding, doors, hardware, windows, and cabinets/countertops
Perform finishing work such as leveling, shimming, and texturing for high-quality results
Perform inspections to assigned property interior and exterior areas,: including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, and other structural elements
Coordinate and manage multi-trade projects, working with skilled partners,: vendors, and construction teams while communicating project timelines, status, and requirements with production engineers, production management, and other stakeholders; assist in vendor coordination and advise on the selection, requisition, and transportation of building materials and supplies
Support campus-wide maintenance programs, asset management, and inventory
What they're looking for
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, cranes, hoists, and other heavy: equipment when needed; use hand and power tools such as sanders, drills, hammers, routers, and saws
- Open, track, and resolve electronic work tickets on SpaceX’s custom work order system
- Work with various materials (e.g., paints, coatings, concrete, framing,: industrial gas fittings) and collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time, to standard, and in a fast-paced manufacturing/construction environment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, equipment, and job: sites; adhere to proper safety guidelines and protocols at all times, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), following procedures for handling materials/equipment, and applying fall protection and safety training
