The opportunity

Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field identified quality issues across operating BESS assets

  • Lead structured investigations into recurring failures, abnormal trends, or: field incidents in collaboration with O&M and Service Engineering

  • Perform root cause analyses using established methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, fault tree analysis)

  • Develop and document clear problem statements supported by data, field evidence, and technical observations

  • Define, track, and verify corrective and preventive actions to address field quality issues

  • Verify effectiveness of corrective actions through follow-up inspections, audits, and data analysis

What they're looking for

  • Support development and tracking of quality KPIs such as repeat failure: rates, defect trends, and corrective action closure
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operational burden on O&M and improve system reliability
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • + years of experience in field quality, reliability engineering, service: engineering, or commissioning support for complex electromechanical or energy systems
