The opportunity
Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.
What you'll do
Drive end-to-end hardware program execution (requirements → design → validation → NPI → ramp)
Lead cross-functional teams spanning mechanical, electrical, firmware,: industrial design, test, and manufacturing engineering
Plan and manage prototype and production builds, including materials, logistics, and factory readiness
Oversee board and flex releases, system integration, and validation testing (DVT/PVT/MP builds)
Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to drive DFM/DFT reviews,: yield improvement, and issue resolution
Maintain clear build plans, risk registers, and program dashboards;: proactively manage schedule and resource risks
What they're looking for
- Serve as the primary interface between Redwood engineering teams and external manufacturing partners
- Provide transparent updates to stakeholders and leadership, highlighting status, risks, and key decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline (advanced degree a plus)
- + years of experience in hardware program management, hardware engineering, or manufacturing operations
