What you'll do

  • Own Fireworks AI’s global revenue accounting function, including revenue: recognition, contract review, close, reconciliations, reporting, and related controls.

  • Serve as the company’s technical accounting expert for revenue recognition under ASC 606.

  • Review complex and non-standard customer contracts and determine the appropriate accounting treatment.

  • Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos supporting revenue: recognition conclusions and significant judgments.

  • Partner closely with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, FP&A, Billing, and Finance to: evaluate the accounting implications of new products, pricing models, and contract structures.

  • Establish scalable revenue accounting policies, processes, and controls as the company grows.

What they're looking for

  • + years of progressive accounting experience, with substantial experience in technical revenue accounting.
  • Deep expertise in ASC 606 and experience applying the standard to complex technology or SaaS contracts.
  • Strong understanding of usage-based, consumption-based, subscription, and enterprise contract structures.
  • Experience evaluating non-standard terms such as minimum commitments, prepaid: credits, discounts, rebates, service-level arrangements, contract modifications, and variable consideration.
  • Strong technical accounting research and memo-writing skills.
  • Experience working in a high-growth technology company; experience with AI,: cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, SaaS, or consumption-based businesses is especially relevant.
  • Prior experience managing revenue close processes, internal controls, and external audit relationships.
  • Ability to partner effectively with commercial teams while maintaining sound: accounting judgment and appropriate controls.
