What you'll do
Operate as a systems-level engineer to collect production requirements, then: plan and execute the build, integration, and validation of flight hardware to those requirements
Design and implement tooling solutions to eliminate assembly errors, improve quality, and accelerate build
Automate novel processes to ensure repeatability on a large-scale production line
Prove that a subsystem work center meets cycle time requirements, or own the: design change required to meet the target cycle time
Become a subject matter expert for the build of a vehicle-level system, like: aero control surfaces, propellant feed systems, actuation systems, thermal protection systems, secondary structures, avionics, primary structure, etc.
Generate and maintain design for manufacturing requirements for the processes: used to build Starships and Super Heavy Boosters
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- + years of hands-on engineering experience (design teams and previous internships qualify)
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline
- + year of system level acceptance test exposure
