What you'll do

  • Operate as a systems-level engineer to collect production requirements, then: plan and execute the build, integration, and validation of flight hardware to those requirements

  • Design and implement tooling solutions to eliminate assembly errors, improve quality, and accelerate build

  • Automate novel processes to ensure repeatability on a large-scale production line

  • Prove that a subsystem work center meets cycle time requirements, or own the: design change required to meet the target cycle time

  • Become a subject matter expert for the build of a vehicle-level system, like: aero control surfaces, propellant feed systems, actuation systems, thermal protection systems, secondary structures, avionics, primary structure, etc.

  • Generate and maintain design for manufacturing requirements for the processes: used to build Starships and Super Heavy Boosters

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • + years of hands-on engineering experience (design teams and previous internships qualify)
  • Master's degree in an engineering discipline
  • + year of system level acceptance test exposure
